Recently we added a few amazing asymmetric VR titles to the platform and in general, we’ve been getting questions from you all about these kinds of games so we thought we’d take some time to explain asymmetric VR and highlight the asymmetric VR titles on the platform currently.

Check out these awesome asymmetric VR titles available on the SpringboardVR Marketplace!

1) Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!

From the creators of Angry Birds: VR, is Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! Launched last week and is a super fun party game where the VR user plays as a tree protecting his golden acorns from rambunctious squirrels who are controller by users on mobile devices.

Easy to learn and extremely fun gameplay for all users to make this one perfect for arcades.

SpringboardVR customers can add Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! to their library by following the button below.

2) Reiko's Fragments

Reiko’s Fragments is a horror experience where the VR user must escape a haunted house while avoiding traps set by users on mobile devices. This title makes for a very fun experience as the non-VR users get to try their best to scare the user in VR and overall it’s very well made.

3) Takeling's House Party

Takeling’s House Party is a fun asymmetrical game with three, very fun mini-games. Take turns in VR as Hal facing off against the Takelings controlled by up to 8 couch players using their smartphones and/or gamepads.

This one is loads of fun and sure to have groups of people laughing and anxious to play the next round.

4) Panoptic

Next up is one of the first asymmetrical VR title added to the platform, called Panoptic. This one has always been one of my favorites but it’s a bit more slow-paced than others. The non-VR user must blend in, destroy objectives and hide from the VR user who is overlooking the map, trying to figure out which of the many look-alikes running around the player. Very intense, super fun.

5) Black Hat Cooperative

Unlike the previously mentioned titles, Black Hat Cooperative s a two-player coop stealth game in which both the VR and non-VR user work together. One player is in VR, sneaking past enemies and collecting treasure. The other player is using the computer and keyboard, with access to a full view of the map and hacking superpowers. This one is great for people looking for a co-op experience as both users must work together to complete the levels.

Another co-op asymmetrical VR title, Containment Initiative. This one is a local co-op VR zombie shooter that can be played by two people on the same PC. Great for shooter fans!
