Amongst the thousands of decisions a VR Arcade owner has to make, one of the most important is deciding what content to include in their VR library.
There are two major factors when considering what titles to include in your Arcade:
1. Will customers like it?
Will it catch their eye as they are browsing games? Does the game start immediately? Is it quick to learn, but difficult to master? Is it multiplayer? Will people come back month after month to play it again? All these questions must be answered before making a decision.
2. Does the price make sense?
In a recent article, we recommended that VR Arcade owners target their licensing costs to be around 15% of what they charge hourly. Every Arcade has different pricing, but if you charge $25 per hour, that would come out to 6 cents per minute (read more about this equation). We don’t want to get too prescriptive in this recommendation, but we think setting a target is key to keeping your content licensing costs at a level that makes sense for your business.
